Description

Leaks and other corrosion-related problems are common in sprinkler systems. Those who have worked in the fire sprinkler industry for some time are aware of the issues caused by these leaks, including water damage, pipe repair, operational challenges, etc. Unfortunately, total piping replacement is the standard plan once leaks have become too frequent. Fortunately, total piping replacement is not required to address an aged and leaking fire sprinkler system. Corrosion damage is usually localized to less than 25% of the system piping, so with the proper investigation methods, a targeted pipe replacement strategy can be employed.
