The idea of extended coverage sprinklers for applications beyond ordinary hazard is still relatively new and evolving with every edition of NFPA standards and FM datasheets. Experience has shown many designers might not fully understand the options available, and how to apply those options to their designs which could benefit the installing contractor. This presentation will explore the many ways this type of sprinkler can be used for extra hazard occupancies, storage (CMDA and CMSA), and as in-rack sprinklers.
