Open-top combustible containers are becoming more and more prevalent in warehouse operations due to the increased efficiency experienced with material handling processes. This course will discuss the fire protection hazards associated with open-top combustible containers, what can be done to reduce their fire hazard, and protection schemes that are going to be made available in the October 2025 Edition of FM Property Loss Prevention Data Sheet 8-9, Storage of Class 1, 2, 3, 4, Plastic Commodities.

• Identify potential protection solutions when open-top containers will be maintained within a warehouse environment.
