Description

Proper signage is a critical component of every water-based fire protection system. While it is necessary for the inspectors and technicians that perform the ITM functions to be knowledgeable and properly trained to perform their assigned tasks, in many cases these cannot successfully be carried out without proper signage. Most signage is required by the installation standard, however, in some cases, NFPA 25 requires more information on a sign than what the installation standard required. This seminar will review every sign required to be inspected by NFPA 25, including some that are required to be “retrofit” by the standard.

Upon completion of this seminar, attendees will be able to:

  • Recognize the signs that are required to be inspected and the frequency of inspection.
  • Explain the purpose of each sign and who uses the information on the sign.
  • Describe the differences between what the installation standard requires and what NFPA 25 requires, and which signs are required to be retrofit.
