The Fire Protection Research Foundation, NFPA's research affiliate, has undertaken various research projects related to sprinkler protection, including those that address key design challenges, evaluate design criteria, classify hazards, and assess the impact of building fire protection, among other things. The objective of this presentation will be to update the AFSA audience on the Fire Protection Research Foundation's completed and ongoing research related to suppression and provide guidance and recommendations that have been developed as a result of this research.

Upon completion of this seminar, attendees will be able to:

• Describe the ongoing suppression projects being addressed by the Research Foundation.
• Discuss the major results of each of the projects highlighted.
• Review the guidance developed for NFPA standards.
