Description

The vast majority of AFSA contractor members are small businesses, yet we rarely hear their success stories or small wins in the daily grind. Does the large company/small company dichotomy lead to gaps in employee depth or experience? This seminar will include stories of a few entrepreneurs and well-known professionals in our industry who got their hands dirty to lead their company's successful completion of a project. Recorded or live interviews may be included. An open discussion will be included on the topics covered.

Upon completion of this seminar, attendees will be able to:

  • Identify and compare key structural differences in small businesses and larger corporations and how that often leads to varying employee experience levels. The pros and cons of both will be analyzed.
  • Discuss "getting their hands dirty" to get the job done, work with limited resources, or enhance profitability.
  • Complete brief discussion activities that highlight an opportunity to "get their hands dirty" by getting involved, even if it's outside the job description.
