Description

Creating a sprinkler system estimate requires the ability to quickly do all of the work of the designer without doing any of the work. As an alternative to doing a complete design and hydraulic analysis, we will use the principles of a complete design while requiring only a fraction of the detailed information. We'll use an organized worksheet for sizing the pipes in a tree, looped, or gridded system, along with a description of its application, including examples of multiple system types. The result will hopefully be enough fun that you won't consider it as doing any work at all.

Upon completion of this seminar, attendees will be able to:

  • Identify three key hydraulic principles that determine the pressure requirements of a sprinkler design.
  • Determine key physical dimensions of a sprinkler design that accurately predict pipe sizing.
  • Apply an organized method of tracking all key pressure and flow requirements of a preliminary sprinkler design.
