Using information provided by top fire protection contractors, we will review the similarities and differences between AHJ requirements for the same high-rise building constructed in six major cities (tentatively Los Angeles, New York, Seattle, Denver, Atlanta, and Chicago). Water supply, fire pumps, standpipes, and pressure regulation are just a few of the requirements being looked at. In addition to the unique technical requirements, each contractor will comment on the most difficult challenge they face when performing this type of work.

Upon completion of this seminar, attendees will be able to:

• Compare the similarities and differences between various AHJ requirements for a basic high-rise in six major cities.
• Identify how these local requirements align or deviate from prescriptive NFPA requirements.
• Discuss the challenge or challenges perceived as being the most difficult to overcome in high-rise work.
