Description
This course will detail the requirements for system components and hardware per NFPA 13, Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems. The course will describe required components and the importance of proper installation. Specific topics will include sprinklers, piping, provisions for flushing, air vents, control valves, drainage, and fire department connections (FDCs).
At the completion of this presentation, you should be able to:
- Identify the components required for wet, dry, preaction, and deluge systems.
- Understand and apply the requirements for air vents.
- Identify the required connection location for FDCs based on system type and arrangement.
