This seminar reviews common misconceptions about CPVC fire sprinkler systems and presents the facts about their various listings, design parameters, and compatibility considerations. An overview of NFPA standards related to CPVC fire sprinkler systems will be given to enable attendees to identify the applications in which CPVC can be installed and exemptions for ordinary hazard spaces. Participants will investigate product listings and design considerations to minimize design and installation complexity and maximize system performance. Attendees will also learn about widely available but seldom used programs and resources from manufacturers to ensure proper installation and compatibility.
Upon completion of this seminar, attendees will be able to:
- List the occupancies in which CPVC fire sprinkler systems can be used as defined by NFPA 13.
- Identify the special listings CPVC fire sprinkler systems have for unique applications, such as attics, interstitial spaces, unfinished basements, and concrete buildings.
